Established in March 2012, Notions Unlimited is an independent bookshop specialising in science fiction, fantasy and horror, as well as media and gaming tie-ins (Doctor Who, Star Trek, Halo, etc), graphic novels, Manga, games and gaming supplies, genre-related art and non-fiction, popular science, paranormal and New Age titles, and a range of posters, gifts and collectibles. Australian small-press is a particular passion of ours, and we boast a great range of local titles not commonly found in other bookstores.

Notions Unlimited Bookshop strives at all times to support and build the local and wider genre community in a range of ways, such as: providing a comfortable venue for genre-related groups (gaming collectives, book groups, writers' circles, etc); offering various divination and spiritual services (Tarot, Numerology, Reiki, etc); supporting local and overseas authors through book launches and signings, and; raising funds for local groups and causes, including Patterson River Fire Brigade, Chelsea Heights Primary School, and others.
